When it comes to formal charitable giving vehicles, private foundations offer the most flexibility and creativity for philanthropic endeavors. As they also are the most intricately structured, this presentation will help advisors understand some of their more complex issues, namely:
- How they differ from donor-advised funds (DAFs) and how the two may be used in tandem for ultimate giving synergy
- How they can engage in charitable investing. Specifically, via program- and mission-related investments.
- Implications of the proposed legislation to regulate private foundation grants to donor-advised funds
